The WOMEN STARTUP EUROPE AWARDS, FUERTEVENTURA SPECIAL EDITION, are an initiative of the European Commission to connect high-tech startups, scaleups, investors, accelerators, corporate networks, universities and the media.

These awards are organized by the Finnova Foundation through Startup Europe Awards, a program endorsed by the DG Connect of the European Commission and promoted by Finnova with the collaboration of Women For Tech and Startup Europe Accelerator, and the Cabildo Insular of Fuerteventura through the AFRIMAC 2 project in order to select the best business and innovation projects and initiatives in the field of female entrepreneurship.

The Women Startup Europe Awards, Special Edition Fuerteventura are divided into two modalities:


1.- AFRIMAC2-100 Women modality:

One finalist will be selected from among the participants of the Training Program for Women Entrepreneurs from Senegal, Mauritania, Cape Verde and Fuerteventura in leadership and business management within the framework of the AFRIMAC 2 project.

2.- AFRIMAC2-WomanImpactSummit modality:

Five finalists will be selected among the rest of the participants regardless of the location of their registered office, with startups in the idea, company or scaleup phase that want to promote their project.



The 6 participants who have been selected will be announced in the semi-final that will take place on November 9 at the 100 Women to Change West Africa Event.

Later, on November 11 at the Woman Impact Summit 2022 International Event, the final will take place where the finalist projects will be presented online and the winner of the Women StartUp Europe Awards, Fuerteventura Special Edition, will be determined.

The WINNER of the Women StartUps Europe Awards category, Special Edition Fuerteventura, will receive a EUROPEAN ACCELERATION TICKET valued at 5,000 euros, through services provided by the experts of the StartUp Europe Accelerator, such as mentoring in the writing of an application for a program of European funds, support in communication services, training courses in European funds and a stay in Brussels with the creation of a networking agenda.
