SPAIN-FUERTEVENTURA: HoW AFRIMAC 2 INTENDS TO PROMOTE SENEGALIAN FEMALE ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Ms. Lola García Martínez, 1st Vice President of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura Responsible for Planning, Finance, Economic Promotion, Employment and Environmental Sustainability launches a message about what AFRIMAC 2 is and what its objective is.
It should be noted from this, by way of summary, the following:
AFRIMAC 2 is a commercial, technological, entrepreneurial and innovative exchange program with high economic impact between the Canary Islands and West Africa that has a budget of 971,340.53 euros, of which 85% belongs to ERDF funds.
The main objective of AFRIMAC 2 is to improve the internationalization of companies in the cooperation area through the creation of networks and the creation of a knowledge environment with a gender perspective.
Regarding its specific objectives are:
- Capitalize on the tools to promote knowledge of the existing business opportunities in the international arena in the complementary emerging sectors of the Canary Islands from a gender perspective, influencing the improvement of the productive potential of women.
- Strengthen the business networks created and promote the creation of new joint business initiatives promoting the equal participation of women and men.
- Increase competitive potential and entrepreneurship in the field of cooperation with a gender perspective.
