The AFRIMAC initiative, which is led by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura through the Strategic Projects departments, has been selected from among hundreds of projects to be part of the publication "The postcards of inclusive growth", of the INTERACT programs of the European Union. This initiative is aimed at showing the real impact that European Interreg funding has on social problems, through a series of postcards focused on the areas of aging, health, employment and youth.

Only 46 initiatives have been chosen to create the postcards, edited thanks to the collaboration of Interreg and the territorial cooperation community. Each of the aforementioned categories (aging, health, employment and youth) brings together different territorial cooperation projects, showing at a single glance key characteristics such as the total budget, the EU contribution, the number of partners or the participating regions.

AFRIMAC, has been selected from the employment category. These programs have worked to make borders intangible and unite citizens. ‘Territorial cooperation has enormous relevance and we feel it more than ever with Covid-19. But even before that, it had already sought to have a great impact on issues such as equality, youth, employment and aging, among others, '' explains the Minister of Economic Promotion, Lola García.
