
The Island Council discusses with the Canary Islands Government lines of action for the internationalization of companies
The Fuerteventura Island Council has asked the Canary Islands Government for new lines of action for the internationalization of major companies in benefit of the social and economic development of the Island, in a meeting held between the Minister of Finance and Economic Promotion, Manuel Hernández, with the Vice-Minister of Economy and Internationalization of the Canary Islands Government, Almudena Estévez, and the Director General of Economic Promotion of the Canary Islands Government, Laureano Pérez.
Present at the meeting were the Director of Promotion and Foreign Network of PROEXCA, Pedro Monzón, and the Director of Investing in the Canary Islands, Pilar Moreno, as well as the President of the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce, Juan Jesús Marichal.

Likewise, the Government of the Canary Islands will develop a plan to attract international investment for each island, to support companies with foreign capital on the islands and encourage them to maintain and expand their investments.
During the meeting, the two institutions addressed other coordination issues with the Official Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura.
After this first meeting in Fuerteventura, the Vice-Minister will continue the meetings with the appropriate bodies of the non-capital islands.
